Connection Strings: Local Path & UNC
Use Local Path / UNC connections when you are trying to replicate file content stored on a shared network drive or UNC path.
Cloud agents do not support local drives. If you are copying a job from a self-hosted agent to a cloud-hosted agent, you may need to change the Change Log path to use a cloud-based connection.

Choose Local Path when the files are located on a local drive or accessible using a UNC path. When using a local path, this method doesn't require credentials.

When entering a UNC path (starts with \\), you can enter a user id and password.
