Authentication Sequence

Authenticating to a DataZen agent follows a specific login sequence and varies based on the type of agent.

Self-Hosted Agents

Self-hosted and container agents follow the following high-level authentication sequence:

• Anonymous authentication, if enabled on the agent server
• X.509-based authentication (which includes signature verification)
• Token-based authentication, with X.509 signature verification if configured
• NTLM authentication based on NT or AD Group settings
